Problem
For decades, Louisiana has suffered from a reputation of corruption and cronyism – some of it justified, some not. In the wake of the hurricanes of 2005, economic development leaders in Louisiana identified an opportunity to reinvent the state as a place for business.
Solution
Hired by Louisiana Economic Development to create a new website for the state agency, Netcom partnered with LED’s traditional agency, Trumpet Advertising, to develop a design scheme for the new site that would convey the progress that is taking place in Louisiana and the sense of momentum that is felt in the state’s various business communities and industries.
At the same time, our information architects worked on creating a site structure that would deliver content to the user in an efficient, easily navigable manner. This was no easy task – LouisianaForward.com would comprise hundreds of distinct pages of content – but we managed it by identifying the most user friendly method of site navigation and designing the site with user experience in mind. Concurrently, Netcom produced a banner ad campaign to drive users to the new site.
Results
The outcome of Netcom’s effort was a clean, attractive website that presents an effectively prioritized hierarchy of content and visually represents a state that is moving forward. Furthermore, the ongoing banner ad campaign has been successful in driving targeted traffic to the site.
