Hotel Monteleone

Everything old is new again.

Problem
Hotel Monteleone is a New Orleans institution with a long, famous history – it was the hotel of choice for such noteworthy figures as Truman Capote, Tennessee Williams and Ernest Hemingway. More recently, though, in some corners of the market, the Monteleone had unfairly gained the reputation of being a bit run down. The hotel sought a new website to change this perception, as well as to promote its recent multimillion dollar renovation and, not least, to increase online bookings.

Solution
The Netcom Group was hired to completely redesign Hotel Monteleone’s website. Employing a design concept that reflected the true nature of the Monteleone, Netcom created a site that is as innovative as it is elegant. Based on Netcom’s recommendation, the user experienced is defined for each of the target users so that the brand is correctly and effectively communicated to each group – leisure guests, business travellers, wedding parties and meeting planners. Through video streaming, users are taken on virtual tours of the newly renovated property. A proprietary online booking program makes room booking quick and easy. Overall, it’s an attractive, easily navigable, user friendly site that affords a pleasurable web experience.

Results
Hotel Monteleone began to see results immediately upon launching the new site in April 2004.
